This would get 4 stars if it was 300 feet up but alas its a bit under exposed... The moves however are really cool and i recommend it to any strongish trad climbers looking for a new rumney adventure... 

  Climb up Left of Dog Biscuit in to the corner and get ready for the fun stuff... Stem up under the roof place some gear and get to it... There are a couple possible ways to do it, I jammed right out the Roof hand crack but you can also layback the corner of the roof heading left on smearing feet... Either way there are jugs all over the place toward the end... Exiting the route is pretty simple... You can anchor to a tree and belay from above and i think walking off is the easiest way down...

Easy gear lead up a ledgy corner system. Crux near the top.

This climb is listed as a variant in the guidebook, but I climbed it more as its own route. Start as for F---ing the Dog, move up the right angling crack to the second left angling horizontal. Move left along the horizontal then fire it to the Dog Biscuit anchors. 

  This is an interesting and fun route for the Rumney trad enthusiasts... I found the crux to be the  first couple moves establishing yourself on the right leaning crack. This route also wanders a little bit Making for a pumpy finish.

An akward, unusual but fun route.  The climb starts just to the right of a huge roof.  Climb up an easy slab and pull an akward mantel into the curvy corner.  Move akwardly to the left and out of the over hang to the top.

Continuing with the tradition of canine-inspired route names, Dog Biscuit is so aptly named because (from as far as I can glean) it is quite a tasty treat for rock aficionados! 

  This route climbs the left, then the right side of the striking arete/roof via technical and satisfying moves.   

  Begin on the face directly below the arete with a ramp-like feature to your right.  Ascend up, then make a couple exciting moves left beneath a low roof to a mantle shelf.  Next, climb up the orange face, trending right until you are on good, but not great, holds beneath the right side of the roof.  Look right around the corner once you are below the roof and clip a bolt.  Make an exciting step around right onto the upper face and climb to the top.  You'll encounter the crux right before the chains.  Note to climber:  Not all paths between two points are straight, especially those connecting the final bolt to the anchor!!

This route climbs the moderate face climbing start of Bad Dog Crack (5.7) then climbs the arete and face to the right of that route.

 A little squeezed in in my opinion seeing as though it shares holds with Bad Dog but it does contain some fun climbing on its independent sections.

 Climb the face below the cracked corner and when it is possible break right on to the arete. Climb interesting and fun balancy moves up the arete till it gets too thin to continue at 5.10. Break back left out to the face and climb quartz edges up to the chains.

This isnt the real name of the route but i have no info on it... If anyone knows the name grade and FA of this one let me know... Otherwise I'll update it when the updated guide comes out some day... I just thought it should be included... 

  On the far left of the cliff is a bolt line up a low angle face leading to an arete and a cool steep finish... the climbing is thought provoking and enjoyable...

The route generally climbs to the left of the bad dog crack and corner on a tecnhical slab.  It's not as good as other 5.9 slabs at Rumney but it is worth doing at this quiet crag.

Start to the right of the right-most corner and head up the low angle ramp. The first bolt seemed a little low but the climbing is fairly easy. (A bolted 5.9+ variation, Ya Moe, heads out left to its own anchors). Face climb up and to the right, figuring out how to get onto the slopey ledge stance with plenty of rock to undercling. Ten feet more of face climbing using side pulls and an indiscreet jug brings you to the anchors.

 This is 5.9 in the new guidebook, but I felt otherwise. Feel free to share your opinion.

If this route could only continue for another 100 feet!!  In just 50 short feet, this route packs a collective punch. It commences with an undercling move off a shark tooth feature, then some strenuous crack climbing, followed by a balancy traverse left, thin and technical face climbing and one final move to, and then out of, a pocket that guards the chain anchors.   

  It is very easy to become addicted to this route's exquisite flow!

It's a trad climb in a sport climber's paradise, so needless to say it sees few ascents, but it is in fact a very cool climb. A short, stout crux on good gear.  Once through the hard part, it eases up on the way to the chains. If you like hard crack climbing, why not bring a small rack up and fire this one. 

  Start on the slab, after 10 feet or so you get to the roof throw in some good gear (I put in a cam and a big nut), jam out the short roof, and gain a great hand jam over the lip. At this point, being creative, wedging your body in the corner, and using interesting foot work will get you where you want to be. The rest of the route is about 5.9 maybe, and is protected with small cams and nuts.

A worth while moderate trad route to practice your skills on... there is a sport route oneither side so you can clip a couple of bolts on your way up to the corner... Stem, fingerlock and hand jam up the corner and pull over the final block to the top...  

  It works better to not pull over the block and just clip the anchors of Puppy Love (5.9) to the left...

From the ledge on “I’m talking to the dog” cut left through a two bolt variation with harder moves and worse holds.

 Due to the current lichen cover, an onsight experience can be somewhat unpleasant, however the route itself climbs okay once you know what to do.

The obvious super steep line up the bulge on the left side of kennel. At first glance, the hard climbing appears to be the horizontal section where it's the steepest. When you gain the jug at the lip and pull onto the arete, you'll realize just how wrong you were.  

  Incredible climbing with plenty of moves you won't find elsewhere. The only thing keeping this route from being a classic is it's location on the mountain, and it's short height. 

  Be careful where the belayer stands were the climber to fall at the 2nd or 3rd. The climber may take a swing, but at no point is there ground-fall potential.

Easy climbing for three bolts to establish in the corner.  Even though it looks like there aren't holds in the roof, there are a couple.  But don't get confused by what looks like chalk but is actually lime deposits.  Make powerful moves out the roof past two bolts with decent, widely spaced hands and small feet to an exciting clip at the chains.  

  This climb definitely suits the powerful and those blessed with a large wingspan. The bolts are well placed and the falls are clean.

The bolt line to the right of F**king The Dog (5.11) is somewhat newly bolted and is pretty fun if you like thin cracks and crimping...

 Follow the eye bolts along the thin crack up and right... When the crack fizzles out climb straight up on crimps then back left to the anchors...

The climb starts on the far right side of the upper section of the crag.  There's an eye bolt to tie in for the belay as it's a little dubious.  After scrambling up the start, climb the face and flake with crimpy, balancy, fun  moves.

From The New Wave Wall bang a right and head up a steep hill to get to this nice little crag that sees very little traffic considering how close it is (though it is a steep approach)... But i digress... The crag is split in to two section the left which has varied climbing both trad and sport, the right has a few fun, steep, crimpy face climbs most of which were done on gear until recently when they were retro-bolted...       The left side as i said is varied in style from crack climbing to face climbing and awkward positions on steep rock... nothing super classic but nothing bad...Sparking Poodles (5.10a) is one i think is really fun...       On the right side i really enjoy F-ing The Dog (510d) and Dog Bisquit (5.10c)... Great crimping and interesting sequences stand out as top reasons to visit this section...       Over all a nice crag to hit on a busy day to climb short routes from 5.7 to 5.12 due to the fact that the two sides of the crag face different directions you may be able to escape wind and or sun...
